What human and physical geography can we find on a map?

This week, the children started off by recapping their knowledge from the previous lessons. Then, they played, ‘Where in the world?’

Following this, they used aerial photos of cities, including Portsmouth and Southampton (as they have recently been there there with school) to recap human and physical geography. The children were amazing at this. Using their knowledge they were then introduced to Ordnance Survey Maps  and their symbols. The children enjoyed finding the symbols and guessing what they mean. They then used the key to help them find different human and physical features on the Isle of Wight.
